A native of Greenville, Brian Madden received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Erskine College in Due West, SC. He continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree is Medical Technology from Medical University of South Carolina and became ASCP Certified in Medical Technology.

Madden has more than 19 years experience in Blood Banking, beginning his career as a phlebotomist, and rising within the organization holding and defining several key positions, such as, Director of Hospital Services, Executive Director of Biologics and Technical Services, and ultimately being appointed to Vice President of Operation and Chief Operating Officer in 2003.

He is charged with overseeing the daily operations of TBC, assuring that organizational blood and blood product collection goals are met in order to maintain an adequate, safe and cost-effective blood supply for the community. Additionally, Madden provides leadership, administrative guidance and direction to all facets of the organization.
